Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 2 "Administration," Article IV "Boards and Commissions," of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Baytown, Texas, to remove the provisions for youth membership on the following boards, commissions, committees and task forces of the City: Baytown Animal Control Advisory Committee, Baytown Cultural Arts Council, Baytown Library Board, Community Development Advisory Committee, Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals, Planning and Zoning Commission, Parks and Recreation Board, and Tow Truck Committee.
a. Consider a resolution repealing Resolution No. 1,957 regarding the authorization of youth membership on the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Advisory Board as well as on the boards of the Baytown Municipal Development District; the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District; and the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District.
a. Consider an ordinance awarding a construction contract to Persons Service Company, LLC, for the SH99 and Tri City Beach Road Utility Relocation Project.
b. Consider an ordinance awarding a construction contract to Mar-Con Services, LLC, for the Garth Road Right Turn Lanes Project.
c. Consider an ordinance amending Section 86-101 of the Code of Ordinances, Baytown, Texas, regarding fees for sanitation services.
d. Consider an ordinance authorizing expenditures for the Curbside Recycling Agreement and Residential Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Services to Waste Management of Texas, Inc.
e. Consider an ordinance prescribing the number of positions in each classification in "Service Group - Fire."
f. Consider an ordinance approving an amendment to the FY2016-2017 budget of the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District to reprogram funds to change the QA/QI position in the Fire Department from a Firefighter classification to a Lieutenant classification.
g. Consider an ordinance authorizing the purchase of one (1) 2016/2017 Chevrolet C3500 6.6-liter Diesel Chassis and Frazer Type 1 12’ Generator Powered Module, through the Houston-Galveston Area Council, for the Fire Department.
h. Consider an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and enter into an agreement with The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company as the carrier/administrator for the City of Baytown's long-term disability benefits.
i. Consider an ordinance authorizing the renewal of the Annual Concrete Work Contract with Teamwork Construction Services, Inc.
j. Consider an ordinance authorizing payment to Kraftsman, L.P., for the purchase and installation of a spray park at Walter L. Jenkins Park through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (Buy Board).
a. The Annual Heritage Scaritage Festival will be held at the Republic of Texas Plaza on Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
b. The Environmental Protectors Initiating Change (EPIC) Spooktacular will be held at the Eddie V. Gray Wetlands Education Center on Saturday, October 29, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
