[a. Consider a resolution authorizing the purchase of construction services for the renovation of the Baytown Area Water Authority Administration Building Project from Buyboard Contractor Brown and Root Industrial Services, LLC.]
OF BUSINESS THEN WILL BE TO CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER AUTHORITY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING PROJECT FOR BY BOARD CONTRACTOR BROWN AND ROOT INDUSTRIAL SERVICES, LLC.UM, THE ITEM, UH, FOR YOU IS, UH, AS STATED FOR BROWN AND ROOT.
UM, THEY'RE DOING SOME WORK THROUGHOUT THE CITY AT VARIOUS FACILITIES.
THE WORK SCOPE WOULD INCLUDE, UM, A DA COMPLIANCE, UM, AS WELL AS SOME RENOVATIONS TO THE LOCKER ROOM AREA AND THE HANDICAP, UH, RESTROOM.
UM, SO THAT'S REALLY WHAT THIS ITEM IS.
UM, STAFF WOULD RECOMMEND APPROVAL AND BE GLAD TO ENTERTAIN ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE.

I THINK I HAVE TO ACCUSE MYSELF FROM THIS ONE.

NO, YOU HAVE TO COMPLY WITH A DA AND, UH, THE CITY AND BOW HAS TO PRESENT A PLAN FOR COMPLIANCE.

I'VE BEEN ON HERE FOR HOW MANY, WHAT? 10 YEARS IS THE FIRST I'VE HEARD OF THE SCHEDULE OF COMPLIANCE.
WE, UH, NOT LONG AGO, I THINK A YEAR OR SO AGO, WE DID A SURVEY OF THE CITY, UH, ALL THE FACILITIES, ALL THE, UH, SIDEWALKS, PEDESTRIAN ACCESSIBILITY EVERYWHERE, AND, UH, ASSESS WHAT WAS IN COMPLIANCE AND WHAT WASN'T.
AND SO NOW WE HAVE THE DASHBOARD THAT GIVES US, YOU KNOW, WHAT'S IN COMPLIANCE AND WHAT'S NOT.
UH, SO THE NEXT STEP IS TO WORK TOWARDS EVERYTHING.
AND THAT'S, YOU KNOW, PART OF THIS IS DOING THAT.
UH, WE'RE ALSO PART OF THE CITY.
WE, WE HAVE A DA SIDEWALK, UH, THAT WAS ON THE GENERAL THAT, THAT, SO THAT WAS TO WORK TOWARDS COMPLIANCE AND SO WILL THAT PAY FOR THIS? AND THE ROOT IS ALSO FOR THE CITY, NOT FOR BYLAW DOING, UH, THE FACILITIES, UH, SLOWLY BRINGING THOSE UP TO COMPLIANCE.
SO WILL THAT BOND PAY FOR THIS? NO, THAT WAS CITY BOND.
I WAS JUST USING THAT AS AN EXAMPLE, RIGHT.
OF WHAT THE CITY IS DOING TO COMPLY WITH MEDIA.
SO WE HAVE TO COMPLY AND WE HAVE TO SHOW THAT WE ARE PURSUING COMPLIANCE.
SO THERE IS SO MUCH SOCIAL MEDIA PRESSURE ABOUT THE CITY WASTING MONEY ON, I DON'T THINK ON BIG PROJECTS.
AND SO IS THAT, IS THIS GONNA CAUSE SOME OF THOSE LOUD MOUTH CATCH WIND OF THIS? IS THIS GONNA BE A PROBLEM? I COULDN'T ANSWER THAT.
IT'LL BE A PROBLEM IF THEY MAKE IT.
JUST NOT LIKE I DON I DON'T, I DON'T, WE DON'T, WE DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS ONE.
THAT COULD PROBABLY CHIME IN MORE, UH, WHETHER THIS PROJECT ITSELF HAS TO BE DONE EVENTUALLY, IS WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY.
IS THIS, IS THIS A ONE AND DONE OR IS THERE MORE THAT THAT'S SCHEDULED DOWN THE ROAD? I THINK THIS COVERS EVERYTHING AT YEAH, THAT'S EVERYTHING AT THE MAIN PLAN.

UM, NEW, NEW FACILITIES AND NEW PROJECTS IN GENERAL, IF THEY'RE OVER A CERTAIN AMOUNT HAVE, UH, AMOUNT HAVE TO GO THROUGH A TOSS REVIEW, TOSS BEING TEXAS ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS, WHICH IS KIND OF THE STATE VERSION OF A DA.
AND SO THOSE PLANS GO THROUGH THAT TOSS REVIEW, UH, TO CHECK FOR THINGS LIKE THAT.
