YOU DID NOT ASK PEOPLE ABOUT THE HOTEL, BUT YOU SPENT $90 MILLION ON IT.

MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP.

HOW MUCH MONEY HAVE YOU SPENT ON IT? THAT'S IT.

GOOD EVENING AS WE GET READY TO THANK OUR FIREFIGHTERS, POLICE AND ALL FIRST RESPONDERS FOR THEIR SERVICE ON THIS.

MOST SOLEMN OF DAYS, 24 YEARS AGO, I WAS AT THE PENTAGON 24 YEARS AGO, I ESCAPED THE PENTAGON BY WAY OF A TWO HOUR WAIT ON THE METRO STATION AFTER I BRIEFED THE GENERAL THAT GOT BLOWN UP.

AND IF ANY OF YOU WERE ROTARY THIS WEEK, YOU HEARD THE GENTLEMAN, COLONEL KEVIN TROLLER, SPEAK OF HIS EXPERIENCE AT THE PENTAGON.

SUBSEQUENTLY, AFTER THAT, I SUPPORTED OUR UNITED STATES ARMY AND THE OVERALL MILITARY BY DOING TWO WEEKS OF GRAVES REGISTRATION AND BODY REGISTRATION.

I WOULD LIKE TO REVIEW SOME STATISTICS WITH YOU AT THIS TIME.

EXPOSURE TO TOXIC DEBRIS FROM NINE 11 ATTACKS HAS LED TO SIGNIFICANT HEALTH ISSUES AMONG FIRST RESPONDERS.

AS OF 20 15, 25, NEARLY FIVE 50,000 INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING FIRST RESPONDERS AND CIVILIANS HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH CANCERS LINKED TO NINE 11 EXPOSURES.

143% INCREASE OVER FIVE YEARS.

RESPIRATORY CONDITIONS SUCH AS ASTHMA, SINUSITIS ARE PREVALENT AMONG RESPONDERS WITH STUDIES SHOWING 8.8 DIAGNOSED WITH ASTHMA

AND 9.7 WITH SINUSITIS.

ADDITIONALLY, 7% OF RESPONDERS HAVE P PROBABLE PT PTS D 19.4 HAVE PROBABLE DEPRESSION.

WHILE BAYTOWN, TEXAS IS NOT THE SIZE OF THE PENTAGON, WE HAVE TOXIC MOLD CAUSING ISSUES AND WE HAVE FIRST RESPONDERS SUFFERING.

THIS IS WHY I SUPPORT THE CCPD AND OUR FIRST RESPONDERS AND POLICE.

AND I PRAY THAT ALL OF YOU WHILE YOU ARE IN OFFICE, DO THE SAME THING.

OUR POLICE NEED NEW UPDATED EQUIPMENT TO SUPPORT THEM FIGHTING CRIME.

THEY NEED NEW VEHICLES, THEY NEED FLOCK CAMERAS, AND THEY NEED PAY RAISES.

QUALITY OF LIFE IS MORE THAN WHAT SOME PEOPLE ARE LETTING IT LOOK LIKE.

IT IS DRAINAGE AND ALL ASPECTS OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND EVERYONE SHOULD, THAT SHOULD SUPPORT WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE BAYTOWN BETTER AND HELP MOVE US FORWARD AND NOT BACKWARDS.

THE CCPD IS NOT A NEW TAX.

IT IS A RENEWAL TAX WHICH HAS TO BE REAUTHORIZED EVERY FIVE YEARS AND IS NOT ONCE AGAIN, A NEW TAX.

AND IT DOES NOT INCREASE THE CURRENT TAX SALES TAX IN KEEPING WITH THE VEIN OF NINE 11, THE PICTURES THAT YOU HAVE IN FRONT OF YOU ARE FROM THE DAY AFTER AT THE PENTAGON BOMBING.

THE ONE IS THE ENTRANCE OF THE PENTAGON THAT I WAS GOING IN AND OUT OF.

SOMEONE HAD MADE A HOMEMADE SIGN, A HOMEMADE BANNER, AND THE OTHER IS THE CAPITOL STREET METRO STATION AND THE REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS WITH FLAGS FLYING FULLY OUT OF EVERY WINDOW.

THE OTHER IS A PICTURE OF ONE OF OUR FIRE STATIONS AND THE BLACK MOLD IN THE FIRE STATION.

THE BLACK MOLD IS ONE OF OUR OWN BAYTOWN FIRE STATIONS THAT HAS BEEN REP AND THAT IS REPLICATED IN OTHER FIRE STATIONS.

THIS IS JUST ONE.

HAVE WE EVER ASKED HOW MANY FIREFIGHTERS HAVE LUNG ISSUES OR HAVE NASAL ISSUES? I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT WE OR POLICE OFFICERS THAT ARE IN FEAR OF THEIR LIVES BECAUSE OF NOT HAVING PROPER EQUIPMENT MOVING FAST ENOUGH FAR ENOUGH AND BEING ABLE TO GET THE RIGHT KIND OF EQUIPMENT NEEDS TO RESPOND TO A CALL.

AS THE WIDOW OF AN ARMY MILITARY POLICE OFFICER THAT DIED ON ACTIVE DUTY.

I SHUDDER TO THINK THAT WE HAVEN'T ASKED THOSE QUESTIONS.

DISEASE SUCH AS BLACK MOLD CAUSES INSURANCE RATES TO GO UP AND WE WILL EVENTUALLY HAVE TO PAY FOR MEDICAL CARE AND OTHER ISSUES REGARDING THIS.

SO IT IS MY HOPE THAT EVERYONE IN THIS TOWN SUPPORTS THE CCPD FOR THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF SEWAGE INFRASTRUCTURE AND MANY OTHER THINGS, BUT THAT WE SUPPORT FIRMLY AND STRONGLY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT.

AND IN CLOSING, I'D LIKE TO PASS AROUND SOMETHING.

MR. MAYOR, IF I CAN COME FORWARD FOR JUST ONE MINUTE, I'LL HAVE TO GO TO THE CITY CLERK.

THIS IS THE COIN THAT I WAS PRESENTED AT THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ALL THOSE THAT SURVIVED THE PENTAGON BOMBING.

WE NEED TO MOVE FORWARD.

WE NEED TO GET BETTER.

WE NEED TO NOT LIVE IN THE PAST.

MOVING FORWARD IS THE ONLY WAY WE WILL SURVIVE.

I URGE EVERYONE TO PLEASE REMEMBER THAT FIRE AND SAFETY GO HAND IN HAND WITH INFRASTRUCTURE.

AND WHEN YOU SWEAR TO PROTECT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, THAT IS FOR ALL WE THE PEOPLE, NOT JUST A FEW.

I I WANT TO MAKE SURE AND, AND MENTIONED THAT THERE'S PIVOTAL MOMENTS IN HISTORY, RIGHT? SOME OF US, DEPENDING ON OUR AGE, YOU KNOW, MAY HAVE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL OF THOSE.

BUT I KNOW EVERYONE THAT'S IN THE ROOM TODAY.

WE WERE HERE FOR NINE 11 AND, UM, THERE'S BEFORE NINE 11 IN AMERICA AND THEN THERE'S AFTER NINE 11, UM, SOME OF US IN THIS COUNTRY EXPERIENCED WHAT NINE 11 FELT LIKE.

UM, YOU KNOW, MR. BOSE JUST SAID AT THE PENTAGON OR MAYBE IN NEW YORK CITY.

UM, FOR ME, AND I DON'T KNOW ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE IN THIS ROOM, I WAS JUST HERE IN BAYTOWN, BUT, UH, IT STRUCK SOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT WITH ME.

AND THAT'S WHY I WANTED TO, UH, I ASKED THE MAYOR IF I COULD TIE THIS INTO, TO WHAT HE WAS DOING.

I GREW UP IN A HOUSEHOLD WITH, UH, A FIRST RESPONDER.

MY MOM WAS AN RN, BUT SHE CHOSE TO DO, UM, MOSTLY CRITICAL CARE.

RN, SHE DID AMBULANCE, SHE DID LIFE FLIGHT FOR A SHORT TIME WITH DR.

RED DUKE WHEN HE, IF YOU KNOW HIM WHEN HE FIRST STARTED IT.

UM, BUT FIRST RESPONDERS, NOT ONLY ARE THEY PUT UNDER PRESSURE AND CALLED TO DUTIES THAT MOST OF US CAN'T IMAGINE, BUT THEIR FAMILIES HAVE TO DEAL WITH A LOT OF THINGS THAT OTHER, OTHER PEOPLE DON'T KNOW.

AND, UH, JUST TO MENTION, I MEAN, THIS IS GONNA SOUND SILLY 'CAUSE IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN TODAY, BUT MY MOM WAS A SINGLE MOM.

AND WHEN SHE GOT CALLED INTO A SHIFT, THERE WERE MANY TIMES THAT I SLEPT IN THE, UH, WAITING ROOM AT HUMANA THAT USED TO BE ON ALEXANDER OR GULF COAST HOSPITAL ER THAT USED TO BE ON GAR ROAD.

AND IF SOMEONE CAME IN, UM, DYING WHEN IT WAS SHIFT CHANGE, UH, CAROLINE, MY MOM, SHE DIDN'T GET TO SAY, IT'S TIME TO GO, GOTTA GO.

I GOTTA GO CLOCK OUT.

SHE HAD TO STAY.

AND IT DIDN'T MATTER IF SHE HAD ME WAITING ON HER OR HER OWN MOTHER WAITING ON HER.

AND JUST TODAY, AS WE REMEMBER, NINE 11, AND WE THINK ABOUT ALL THE FIRST RESPONDERS THAT WENT THAT DAY, LET'S ALSO REMEMBER THEIR FAMILIES THAT WERE IMPACTED NOT ONLY FROM THE TRAGEDY, BUT EACH AND EVERY DAY, THAT THEY ALSO GAVE A LITTLE OF THEMSELVES TO MAKE SURE THAT THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS COULD GIVE THE ULTIMATE TO OTHERS.

SO THE FIRST ONE IS HONORING PUBLIC SAFETY PERSONNEL.

WHEREAS THE MEN AND WOMEN OF OUR POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT DEDICATE THEIR LIVES TO PROTECTING THE SAFETY, SECURITY, AND WELLBEING OF ALL MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY.

AND WHEREAS THESE COURAGEOUS PROFESSIONALS RESPOND SELFLESSLY TO EMERGENCIES, OFTEN PLACING THEMSELVES IN HARM'S WAY TO PROTECT LIVES, PROPERTY, AND THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN OUR CITY.

AND WHEREAS OUR POLICE OFFICERS UPHOLD THE RULE OF LAW, BUILD TRUST THROUGH COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND WORK TIRELESSLY TO ENSURE THAT EVERY RESIDENT AND VISITOR FEELS SAFE.

AND WHEREAS OUR FIREFIGHTERS BRAVELY RESPOND TO FIRE AND MEDICAL CRISIS AND PROVIDE VITAL EDUCATION AND PREVENTION EFFORTS TO SAFEGUARD FAMILIES AND NEIGHBORHOODS.

AND THE, THE YELLOW, WHICH IS THE PROPERTY IN QUESTION, IS CURRENTLY ZONED MIXED RESIDENTIAL.

UM, THE PROPERTY OWNER, AS HAS REQUESTED A REZONE TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL, UH, BECAUSE HE CANNOT SELL IT THE WAY IT IS, HE'S TRYING TO SELL THAT PROPERTY.

IT'S, IT'S PRETTY MUCH UNDEVELOPABLE AS A RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY, UM, BECAUSE OF THE COST THAT IT WOULD TAKE TO, UH, DEVELOP THAT, THAT THAT PARTICULAR SITE.

SO THE REZONE TO YOU COMING TO YOU TODAY DOES NOT HAVE ANY SPECIFIC PLANS FOR ANYTHING, UM, FOR ANY SPECIFIC BUSINESSES OR, OR SITE DEVELOPMENT.

UH, HE'S MERELY LOOKING TO GET THIS MORE IN LINE WITH WHAT'S NEARBY, UH, TO BE ABLE TO SELL A PROPERTY TO SOMEBODY WHO MIGHT BE ABLE TO, UH, DEVELOP IT AND MAKE PROFIT.

UH, SINGLE FAMILY HOMES ON A MINIMUM LOT SIZE OF 5,000 SQUARE FEET.

UM, ALSO, UH, MI A A MIX OF SOME LIKE DUPLEXES AND TOWN HOMES, VERY LIMITED.

UH, GENERAL COMMERCIAL IS PRETTY MUCH THE MOST WIDE OPEN COMMERCIAL ZONE THAT WE HAVE.

SO YOU COULD HAVE A GAS STATION, UH, YOU COULD HAVE A SHOPPING CENTER, YOU COULD HAVE A HOSPITAL, UM, ANY OF THOSE TYPES OF LARGE COMMERCIAL USES OR ALSO SMALL, YOU COULD HAVE A STRIP MALL IN THERE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

AND, AND THEN MY FOLLOW UP QUESTION IS, UM, IF THEY WERE TO BUILD ONE OF THE THINGS LIKE A, UM, IF SOMEONE BOUGHT IT AND THEY WERE GONNA PUT A GAS STATION UNDER OUR ZONING AND OUR RULES, UM, OUR ORDINANCES, WOULD THEY BE REQUIRED TO HAVE RETENTION PONDS OR A, A PLAN TO MITIGATE FLOODING? SO THE SHORT ANSWER IS YES.

UM, IT DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH OF THE PROPERTY THEY ARE DISTURBING, HOW MUCH OF THE, THE DIRT THEY'RE DISTURBING, WHETHER THEY WOULD HAVE TO HAVE ANY KIND OF A DETENTION POND OR SOMETHING.

BUT WE WOULD DEAL WITH THAT AS IT COMES UP.

THE ONLY REASON THAT'S A CONCERN IS JUST WITH ALL THE, I AGREE THAT WITH PLANNING AND ZONING, THAT THAT FITS THE PLAN FOR THAT AREA TO MOVE INTO GENERAL COMMERCIAL.

UM, WHICH IS A WIN-WIN FOR THE COMMUNITY WHERE WE DO RECEIVE A NEW RETAIL BUSINESS, UH, THAT STRENGTHENS OUR TAX BASE, UH, BUT ALSO INCREASES PROPERTY VALUES AND STIMULATES COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY, UH, IN THE COMMUNITY.

UNDER THE, UNDER THIS AGREEMENT, UM, ROOMS TO GO, WE'LL BE INVESTING, UM, UP TO 13 MILLION FOR REDEVELOPMENT

UH, THE REBATE EQUALS 75% OF THE 1% OF THE CITY'S PORTION AND THE SALES TAX THAT'LL BE GENERATED, UH, SOLELY AT, UH, THEIR, THEIR BUSINESS, UH, WHICH SHOULD BE CAPPED AT A MILLION DOLLARS OVER THE 10 YEAR TERM.

UH, THERE WE SERVED AS THE OWNER OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE FOR THAT TOWN AND THEN SOME OTHER LANDMARK PROJECTS.

UH, THERE, UH, NEBRASKA FURNITURE MART WAS THE ANCHOR HERE FOR THIS DEVELOPMENT.

IT IS THE LARGEST RETAIL CENTER IN THE WORLD, AND THERE IS A HUGE ROOMS TO GO THERE.

HE'S LEFT NOW.

THERE'S A HUGE ROOMS TO GO RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET.

THEY'RE ALL RIGHT THERE TOGETHER FOR FURNITURE.

BUT THE THINGS I WILL SAY THERE, THAT WAS AN ANCHOR IN SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS HAVE COME IN AROUND IT.

THIS IS A WARREN BUFFET PROJECT, AS A MATTER OF FACT.

AND THIS IS ALSO THE FIRST TIME THAT, UH, AN ARCHITECT LISTENED TO AN ENGINEER ABOUT WHAT IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE, BECAUSE WE ACTUALLY HAD BEEN TRAVELING ALL OVER THE WORLD TO TRY TO FIND AN OLD DOWNTOWN THAT, UH, WE COULD PATTERN THIS DESIGN AFTER.

AND WE HAD HAD NO LUCK.

MY WIFE AND I WENT TO NASHVILLE, AND WE'RE GONNA DRIVE DOWN THE NATCHEZ TRACE AND SEE THE, THE LEAVES CHANGE.

WE STOPPED IN FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE, AND WE GO, OH MY GOODNESS, THIS IS IT.

SO WHEN YOU SEE SOUTH LAKE TOWN SQUARE, IF YOU'VE EVER BEEN TO FRANKLIN, IT IS VERY MUCH PATTERNED AFTER IT.

BUT AGAIN, IT'S A, IT'S A, IT'S A PLACE, IT'S A SENSE OF PLACE.

TURNED OUT EXTREMELY WELL AND, AND CONTINUES TO GROW.

AFTER I FINISHED THIS FACILITY, I WAS ASKED TO JOIN THE BOARD AND THEN SPENT SEVERAL YEARS AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD FOR THIS, THIS PLACE.

AND IT, UH, IS AMAZING THE OUTPOURING OF, OF, UH, BASICALLY PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS THAT GAVE MONEY TO CONTINUE THESE PROGRAMS ALONG.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WHEN YOU'VE GOT A PUBLIC PROJECT, YOU KNOW, INTERNALLY WITH THE STAFF, THE COUNCIL, AND THEN EXTERNALLY WITH THE CITIZENS.

WELL, INTERNALLY, UH, WITH THE, WITH THE STAFF AND ON THE, UH, AND WITH THE DESIGN TEAM, WHEN THEY'RE BROUGHT ON BOARD, STRUCTURING A COMMUNICATION PLAN THAT CREATES ACCOUNTABILITY.

REGULAR MEETINGS THAT TAKE PLACE SO THAT WHEN YOU'RE IN THOSE MEETINGS, YOU'RE WORKING ON WHAT ARE THE MAJOR DECISIONS THAT WERE MADE? WHAT ARE THE ACTION ITEMS THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN AND WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET THEM DONE? AND THAT IS, UH, THE WAY THAT COMMUNICATION IS.

THEY'RE ONE OF THE FEW CITIES IN AMERICA THAT, THAT THE CITY ACTUALLY RUNS A INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY, A A SCHOOL, UH, HERE ON IT.

BUT ALSO IT HAS THE LIBRARY.

WE HAVE A RECREATION CENTER IN IT.

AND, UH, CITY OFFICES A SPRAWLING CAMPUS.

BUT THEN WHAT HAPPENED IN THE CITY IS THAT WE WERE ENDED, ENDED UP ABLE TO ATTRACT CHARLES SCHWAB, FIDELITY AND DELOITTE ALL TO COME TO THE CITY AND DAIMLER CHRYSLER.

AND, UH, YET IT WAS DONE IN A WAY THAT, UH, IT HELPED THE TAX BASE AND DID NOT, UH, HAVE NEGATIVE IMPACTS BECAUSE LOOK AT THE PICTURE HERE.

THIS IS WHAT MOST OF WESTLAKE LOOKS LIKE WITH ROLLING HILLS AND, AND RURAL TYPE AREA.

BUT THEN, UH, WE WERE ABLE TO BRING THAT IN AND ALL, ALL OF THESE PROJECTS ADDED TO IT, AND WE WERE EITHER IN CHARGE OR A PART OF EVERY ONE OF THESE.

AND IT'S SO IMPORTANT TO BE ABLE TO ATTRACT THE RIGHT DESIGN TEAM TO COME IN AND DO THE PROJECT.

AND SO THIS COUNCIL HAS BEEN FOCUSED ON EFFICIENT OPERATION.

THIS IS A RESOLUTION THAT, UH, STEMS FROM THE PUBLIC UTILITY REGULATORY ACT.

THE ACT PROVIDES THAT UTILITIES MAY RECOVER SYSTEM RESTORATION COSTS AND USE SECURITIZATION FINANCING IN THE RECOVERY OF SUCH COSTS.

UH, IN MAY OF 2025 CENTER POINT FILED AN APPLICATION WITH THE PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION, UH, AND SOUGHT APPROXIMATELY $1.295 BILLION IN STORM RESTORATION COSTS STEMMING FROM HURRICANE BARREL, FRANCINE AND WINTER STORM ENZO.

UH, UNDER THE ACT, UH, SYSTEM RESTORATION COST CASES ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE ONES THAT WE'VE SEEN HERE AT COUNCIL BEFORE.

THEY'RE DIFFERENT BECAUSE, UH, THE ACT ALLOWS THE UTILITIES, WELL THE ACT COMES INTO PLAY AFTER THE UTILITIES HAVE ALREADY SPENT THAT MONEY AND IT ALLOWS THEM TO RECOVER THE COSTS THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY GONE OUT AND PAID FOR.

FOR THAT REASON, THE COMMISSION HAS BEEN, UH, MORE HESITANT THAN IN OTHER CASES TO DISALLOW THOSE EXPENSES.

AND AND THAT INCLUDES CASES WHERE THEY'VE FOUND, UH, THE UTILITIES COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING IN A MORE COST EFFECTIVE OR, OR MORE PRUDENT MANNER.

AND, UH, FOR THAT REASONS, THE LAWYERS THAT, UH, HAVE BEEN HIRED BY THE TEXAS COAST UTILITIES COALITION OF CITIES, UH, OF WHICH WE ARE A MEMBER, UM, HAVE ENGAGED EXPERT CONSULTANTS TO TAKE A LOOK AT THESE CASES.

THEY'VE WORKED WITH THE COMMISSION'S, UH, UH, ANALYSIS ALL ANALYSTS ALSO AND HAVE RECOMMENDED A SETTLEMENT OF THIS PARTICULAR MATTER UNDER THE TERMS OF THE PROPOSED SETTLEMENT CENTER POINT WILL REDUCE ITS RECOVERABLE STORM RESTORATION COSTS, UH, TO 1.273 BILLION.

THAT IS A $22 MILLION REDUCTION IN WHICH THEY, UH, ORIGINALLY ASKED.

UH, ADDITIONALLY, THEY AGREED TO DEFER SEEKING ANY RECOVERY COSTS OF $78 MILLION.

UH, AND THEY WILL, UH, PERHAPS PROVIDE THAT AT A FUTURE RULEMAKING PROCEEDING, BUT THEY WON'T DO IT IMMEDIATELY.

UH, CENTER IN TOTAL THIS, UH, AGREEMENT IS A HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS LESS THAN WHAT THEY'VE ORIGINALLY REQUESTED.

AND, UH, STAFF IS RECOMMENDING APPROVAL.

SO YOU'RE SAYING IT'S A HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS LESS THAN WHAT THEY ORIGINALLY REQUESTED, BUT THEY CAN COME BACK AT A LATER DATE AND ASK FOR THE 78 MILLION? THAT'S CORRECT, BUT THE 22 MILLION'S OFF THE TABLE FOREVER.

UM, THE CREWS HAVE BEEN OUT, UH, REFRESHING SOME OF THE CROSSWALK MARKINGS IN THE AREA AROUND BOWIE ELEMENTARY AND SOME OF THE, THE OTHERS THERE THAT THE, THAT'S REALLY STANDS OUT NOW 'CAUSE THEY WERE PRETTY FADED.

THEY'D ACTUALLY DONE SOME STREET WORK ON BOWIE AND THEY WERE GONE.

SO, UH, I APPRECIATED THOSE BEING PUT INTO PLACE.

UM, ON BAYOU AVENUE, THEY'VE INSTALLED SOME PIPING IN, IN SOME OF THE FRONT YARD DITCHES.

THEY'RE TOWARDS THE BAYOU, SO THAT'S REALLY APPROPRIATE, I GUESS, TO PUT THOSE THERE.

AND THEY'RE CLEANING OUT SOME OF THE, THE OTHER PIPES IN THE AREA TO BE FLUSHED.

UH, AGAIN, THAT'S ONE OF MY AREAS THAT WE HAVE A HEAVY RAIN, THE YARDS FLOOD ALL THE WAY UP TO THE HOUSES.

AND SO THE SUPERVISOR NOTICED THAT WAS HAPPENING AND SAID, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN THIS IN 10 YEARS.

AND, UM, SAID IT'S A TRUE TESTAMENT TO ELVIS'S HEART FOR SERVING OUR COMMUNITY.

UH, SHE, THE, THE CITIZENS SHARED HOW LOST AND FEARFUL SHE, UH, SHE FELT NOT KNOWING HOW TO TAKE ON A PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND HOW ELVA MADE HER FEEL SO COMFORTABLE AND CONFIDENT.

SO JUST HAPPY TO SHARE THAT TYPE OF STUFF.

AND, UH, SEEING THAT OUR, OUR, OUR EMPLOYEES ARE GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP OUR CITIZENS IN BAYTOWN.

I DON'T THINK I'VE BEEN ON COUNCIL WHERE WE GOT THOSE TYPE OF REVIEWS OR THOSE TYPE OF RESPONSES ABOUT THE PERMITTING DEPARTMENT IN ONE MONTH.
